Harrow Community Transport  

Harrow Community Transport (Harrow CT) is a registered Charity and Company Limited by Guarantee and has been providing community transport services for over 30 years. Harrow CT works to provide safe, affordable and accessible transport services to local community and voluntary groups in the London Borough of Harrow and its environs.  We currently operate a fleet of accessible vehicles, ranging from accessible cars to 16 seat accessible minibuses, available for use by not-for-profit groups, organizations and individuals.

Harrow CT offer a range of transport services:

Group Transport Available for use by member groups and organizations. This service provides accessible minibuses (up to 16 passenger seats) for use on both local and national trips such as shopping, meetings, lunch clubs, local trips out or trips to the coast, summer camps, day trips.

Individual Transport This service provides safe accessible transport for individual members, their families or carers, and can be used for local journeys as well as long distance trips such as holiday transport, day trips, family visits.

Community Car Service (CCS) Harrow CT manages this service which provides transport by Volunteer drivers using their own vehicles. A flat-rate mileage rate is chargeable which begins and ends at the Volunteer’s home. Vehicles are not accessible and users will require enough mobility to get in and out of a car.

Driver Training - MiDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme) Harrow CT provides driver training under the MiDAS driver training scheme, as recommended by the Community Transport Association (CTA UK). MiDAS is an award winning nationally recognized driver training scheme which drivers must undergo if they are to use Harrow CT vehicles. Upon successful completion of the course, drivers will receive a certificate which lasts for four years and is accepted by other community transport (CT’s) organizations, both in London and nationally.  

Technical Advice / Vehicle Management If you or your group is thinking of buying a minibus or accessible vehicle we can help identify options for choosing the right vehicle / conversion for your needs. If you would like help operating your vehicle Harrow CT can provide advice and guidance regarding maintenance, legal operation and brokerage.

Contract Services Harrow CT currently provides flexible contract services for a wide variety of organizations on both long and short term contracts.
